On Sunday I had a Family Photo Shoot with a great little family! We spent the day at Empire Mine and my studio. The blue eyes on these boys was INCREDIBLE!

Last Weeks Tattoo Session

Today is normally Inspiration Monday…and maybe later this afternoon it will be. But currently I am so tight on time today I shouldn't even be writing this!

Exciting Day!

Today I have a Tattoo Photo shoot! For those of you who don't know much about me, I am a professional Photographer by day and a newbee-blogger/student by night. I'm not going to school to be a photographer, I am going back to school to learn more about THIS stuff….HTML, Coding, Social Media, Social Networking…the "fun" stuff.

So back to the photography aspect, I have been a photographer since 1995. I started out VERY amateur on the school newspaper and all the photo classes the high school would send me too! I then joined the Air Force as a photographer and literally traveled the world! I ended up in Washington DC where I worked for Mr. P (you know who…) for 4 years.

After 8 years in the military I decided to get out and go to school. While I was going to school I worked as a graphic artist. After I got my degree in Visual Communications and a Major in Education, I took a 1 year contract to Iraq. This is where I met my husband! Yes ladies, we met in a war zone.

We have recently moved to Northern California and I opened my first Photography Studio about a month ago! I have been a busy bee lately with family shoots, weddings, engagements and even a local Band photo shoot! Its been a Whirl Wind of Excitement!

So….long story short, I have a Tattoo Photo Shoot today. A girl in the area has a half sleeve that she wants documented! So I will be in the studio and outside shooting today!

I literally love my job!

KoJo Design Challenge

LOVE THIS! Kojo Designs has a week long challenge! and today is MAKE SOMETHING!! I am making my Studio Signs. Yep Sarah D. Butcher - Photography has a studio! (thats me!) and I am making BRIGHT RED Signs that say "PHOTOGRAPHY". I'm located next to Summer Thymes in Grass Valley, CA and their parking lot is RIGHT Next to my studio. So I made a SUPER LARGE wooden photo sign that is right red with black letters. That way people inthe parking lot of even in the coffee shop can see it!
