I read a LOT of true crime books and I vote for Death Penalty

3. What's the worst thing your kid has gotten into when you turned your back/blogged/showered/blinked?

No kids…..

4. How often do you REALLY go to the dentist?

once every 5 years…bad I know.

5. What is your favorite animal (doesn't have to be a pet-type animal)?

Dogs….I love dogs!!

1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school?

Hmmm no kids.

2. Where did you go on your very first date? (Like...first first, not first with your spouse or current significant other!)

I think it was McDonalds. LOL I seriously cant remember.

3. What's your "silly" fear? (We're not talking water and heights.)

Sitting on a public toilet seat without a gasket (the cover)

4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with is as it comes, or run far far away?

Depends on the fight. Depends on what’s wrong and why.

The new design is here!! I love it and worked on it during class. VERY simple and yet sweet! 


So yesterday I saw that I was featured in It's in the Adventure blog! I had NO IDEA until I googled my OWN blog last night in class and saw this! So thanks for the Q ideas lady friend! I answered then all! 


1. Where do you like to go to have fun?

Where do I go for fun…a bookstore. A Coffee shop. I love quiet time. I love to read. I love being lost in a book for HOURS. I haven’t had much time to  ‘get lost’ lately.

2. What were you doing the last time you really had a good laugh? 

Putting together our bed. We moved into our house this past weekend and we had a little too much wine last night and had a ball putting together our bed.

3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

We have been a lot of places and we LOVE to travel. We have 5 of 7 continents done. And we want to see all 7 before we have children. So next on the list…Africa or Antarctica.

4. What is your all time favorite comedy movie?

Good Q…maybe Dumb and Dumber…or Talladega Nights!

5. What is your happiest childhood memory?

Not sure.  I have a lot.  Growing up as a Renaissance kids was AMAZING. My mother had a craft booth at the Minnesota Renaissance (and still does) and My sister and I grew up there. We started in the 80s when my sister was still in diapers.             

6. What song always makes you happy when you hear it?

“Who I Am” By Wade Bowen. It is our wedding song. We first heard it in Iraq and its has been our song ever since!

7. What was your favorite sitcom growing up?

Who’s The Boss? Great show! We would watch it every week!! Then all the reruns when the show ended.

8. What favorite food puts you in a great mood?

CORN ON THE COB!!! I’m a true Minnesotan for sure!

9. Who's the funniest person you know?

My sister. She is such a comedian! She should TOTALLY go on tour!

10. What was the best vacation you ever had?

My husband and I went to New Zealand for our Honeymoon. We biked the Westcoast of the Southern Island on a Tandem bike for 14 days! LOVED every almost every minute of it! We only had 2 spats the entire time! 


The first Valentines Day we spent together (4 years ago next week) we were in Athens, Greece! How does a guy beat that???

11. If you were going to be stuck on a deserted island, which 5 books, movies, people and foods would you take along?

My Wedding!! Amazing day! An Amazing Experience!

15. If you have to choose a movie title for your life story, what would that be? 

Love and Adventure!

1. If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which would you choose?

K9 Bone Cancer Research. My 9 year old German Shepherd passed away Oct 9, 2010 form K9 Bone Cancer. I am in the process of organizing a 5k run/walk dog friendly event to raise money and awareness for this issue.

2. Snow days: Do you welcome them happily or are they a pain in your butt?

HAPPILY!! Its a day off work or school. Its a day to SLEEP in and be lazy if you want to. Nothing is required of you so enjoy the day mother nature is giving you off!

3. What talent did you wish you had and why?

I wish I could draw…my mother (check out her blog and art work here)is an excellent artist and can draw ANYTHING…I wish I had that talent. 

4. Are you a news, politics or celebrity gossip junkie?

Celebrity to a point. I love to keep up with the crap but at the same time its only because I cant believe how ridiculous it is!!

5. What is your favorite "cocktail"? (Are you a beer person, a kiddie cocktail junkie, or perhaps your more the "Cosmo" kind?! Anything flies...doesn't haftabe alcoholic!)

Lately my love is MARTINIS!! EXTRA Dirty = More Olive Juice!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them although I cant seem to MAKE THEM…HA!

5 Q Friday!!

1. Where did you meet your spouse and did you instantly know it was love?


I met my spouse in IRAQ…yes we met in a war zone. I was a contractor he was military. We arrived within 2 weeks of each other, and left within 2 days. WE spent our 2 week R&R in Greece over Valentines day! 

2. What is your favorite room in your house?


Hmmm….my bedroom. At least for the next week until we move. We have been very sparing on using the propane in our rental home since we are moving next week, so the heat is OFF (thank God we are in NorCal and in the middle of a hot streak). So I have been huddled up on the bed with the dog for a while. LOL

3. Can you wiggle your ears?


Nope. Not even close!

4. What is your evening ritual?


HA HA…There is a card game that my family has played for years. And when my parents and grandmother came to visit a few weeks ago, we played and played. NOW my husband and I play at least once a day. Its sweet. Reminds me of my grandparents. They used to do the same thing until my grandfather passed. 


After dinner, we workout (run or ride our bikes) then play cards, then read. We recently took our ONLY TV in the house to my photo studio and then canceled out cable. So we have NO TV in our place. which is nice! If we get the yearning to watch something we pull out the laptop and rent a movie on iTunes…it brings us back to our Iraq days.

5. How many hours of sleep do you need to function?


A LOT…I like at least 8 but it all depends.
