A Heavy Heart

My heart is heavy today. A close friend of mine is saying good-bye to her husband for 6 months while he deploys with the military. They have 2 small children and she is fairly new to the area. I have been in her shoes. A month after marrying my husband he left for Afghanistan for 6 months. Being a member of the "Deployed Spouses Club" (not a real club) is not exactly something that a person strives for. 


Over at Kojo Designs they are making Ribbon Chains to count down to Spring. Well we are going to make a count down chain for when her hubby comes home. It will helps the kids "see" how long it will be until daddy is back!!
